How to use

How to use Gekasan

Gekasan is a rich, protective balm that cares for dry and exposed skin all over the body. Here you can read how to get the most out of it – and where it makes the biggest difference.

Three steps to soft skin

1

Cleanse and dry the skin

Wash the area with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry. The balm absorbs best into clean skin.

2

Apply a thin layer

A little goes a long way. Gently massage the balm in until the skin feels soft.

3

Repeat as needed

Feel free to apply several times a day – for example after washing your hands and before bed.

Where it makes a difference

Gekasan can be used all over the body – but these are the places where it really makes a difference.

Hands

Hands that are washed often or exposed to hand sanitiser, cold and hard work dry out quickly. Apply after washing your hands to lock in moisture.

Tip: Apply to your hands in the evening and wear thin cotton gloves overnight.

Feet

Heels and soles easily become hard and cracked – especially in winter and after a summer in sandals. The high fat content softens hard skin.

Tip: Apply to your feet before bed and put on cotton socks.

Elbows and knee

Elbows and knees are among the first places where skin becomes rough and dry. A thin layer morning and evening makes the skin supple again.

Tip: Apply right after a shower while the skin is still slightly damp.

In frosty weather

Cold and wind draw moisture out of the skin. The balm forms a protective layer over cheeks, lips and hands when you head outside.

Tip: Keep a tube in your coat pocket or bag during the winter months.

For pets

If your pet has a scratch or a small wound, Gekasan can be used on them too. The balm is free from fragrance and colourants.

For deep or infected wounds, always consult a vet.

When should you seek help?

Gekasan is for caring for dry and exposed skin. If your skin does not improve after a few weeks, or if it bleeds, weeps or shows signs of infection, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If it concerns your pet, contact a vet.
